
Michigan Gamers Can Experience a Classic Midnight Launch Once Again
If you were a gamer in the 2000s and early 2010s, GameStop was the place to get everything you needed. If you had old games you no longer wanted, you could trade them in for a portion of the amount you paid for them new. Or if you were like me, broke and bored, you'd go to the store, just look at all the game cases you couldn't have.
But the one thing I was most jealous of was the adults who could attend the midnight releases for games, seeing people lined up outside the store early in the day to be among the first people in the world to get and play their copy of the latest, hottest game. Call of Duty was the king of the midnight release, with every new copy being cause for celebration.

Sadly, as streaming and downloading content from the digital marketplace on the console, things like midnight releases have dwindled in popularity.
This year, however, GameStop is bringing it back, the video-game retailer announced on Facebook. Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 releases on November 14, 2025, and if you're looking to get COD the way God intended, here are all the GameStop locations in West Michigan hosting midnight releases:
