It's a week of Wingstock 2012 artist on the Free Beer & Hot Wings Show. This morning  Wayland was in to catch up with the guys before they head off to Indianna to do a couple of shows before Wingstock on Saturday.  Tomorrow Gunnar & The Grizzly Boys will step into the studio with the guys.  We will end the week with Pop Evil on Friday after their WZZM 13 visit.

Once  a week we're gonna take a moment & spotlight one of our Wingstock 2012 artist.  First up is our very own Wayland.  Wayland has been busy shooting videos and gigging around the entire US.

97.9 GRD and the Free Beer & Hot Wings Show are proud to present Wingstock 2012, headlined by Our Lady Peace! Pop Evil, Dokken, Wayland and more bands to be announced will take over Fifth Third Ballpark this summer.

Wayland has made an impressive rise in the rock industry with their song "Welcome To My Head" rising on rock charts across the country.  More and more radio stations across the country are picking up the song  and currently the band is touring their asses off in support.

Saturday night the guys in Wayland took the stage at the Intersection. Been looking forward to this show for a  while now, well ever since they came on the Free Beer & Hot Wings Show and announced their new EP, "Welcome to My Head " is available for download on iTunes now.

Hometown boys Wayland are playing a GRD show at The Intersection in downtown Grand Rapids on Saturday, December 17. We're giving away a pair of tickets to the show and passes to see Wayland during an acoustic GRD Live Blitz!
