A couple weeks ago, Pop Evil, Young Guns, Girl on Fire, Era 9, and Deadwood Stone took over the Intersection. The place was packed to the brim with crazed fans as Pop Evil played some the top songs in rock radio today! Pop Evil was back in their hometown, and we welcomed them with open arms.

Here at WGRD, we are all about the local bands. Pop Evil was a local band that paid its dues and worked hard. The band now is proud to say it has had two No. 1 singles on the Active Rock charts this year. Keeping the tradition of loving our local bands, local rockers Deadwood Stone have been booked to open the show Friday at The Intersection in Grand Rapids.

Man, do I love a good Mushroomhead show! I have seen them 10+ times, and each time gets better and better. It is really hard to believe that Mushroomhead has been on the scene for 20 years! They will be celebrating the 20 year existence with a huge tour, and one very big special suprise for all of the 'Shroomheads out there...

Man it's not often we have so many killer shows just back to back! This past Friday I drove down to Allegan and rocked out for the Carnival of Madness, which had In This Moment, Papa Roach and Shinedown. AMAZING show! I can honestly say I thought these three bands put on some of the best live shows I have seen in a while!
