It's been a Snowmageddon-type news day today, with the crazy 150-car-pileup on I-94 between Kalamazoo and Battle Creek today. Sadly, we have had reports of a fatality at the scene, and several injuries.

Johnnie Films a Timelapse of the Last Snow of 2014 in Grand Rapids

I still love the snow...I know, everyone here at WGRD gets mad at me for it, but I can't help it! I've always loved the cold weather, and enjoy playing in the snow, so Grand Rapids is a great place for me.

The year is almost over, so when I saw that some snow was finally beginning to fall on December 30th, after almost an entire December without anything, I got excited and broke out the GoPro again to catch the snowfall.

Grand Rapids First Snowfall of the Season Caught on Timelapse!

I'm probably the only person in Grand Rapids who's been excited for the return of winter to town.  I know I'm certainly the only person in the building who's excited.

So ready, that I set up my GoPro in the window here at work, to catch the first snowfall to come down in downtown GR last night.  We've had little flurries, like the other day and on Halloween, but nothing that sat on the ground and stuck for a bit.

Free Beer & Hot Wings: NBC’s Brian Williams Sets the Record Straight On the Peeing Weatherman [Video]

We posted a video this week that showed an awkward moment during a weather report on "The NBC Nightly News."

Anchor Lester Holt threw it to the weatherman in the field, The Weather Channel's Mike Seidel. However, because of some technical difficulties, Seidel was not able to hear him. He was standing with his back to the camera and it looked like he was peeing in the North Carolina snow.
