The Red Wings will take the ice against the Tampa Bay Lightning for Game 7 Wednesday night without two of their best and most experienced defensemen. Marek Zidlicky experienced concussion-like symptoms following Game 6, and it's now been officially announced that he'll be on the sidelines for Game 7 along with the suspended Niklas Kronwall.

The Detroit Red Wings will be shorthanded for Game 7 Wednesday night, April 29th, against the Tampa Bay Lightning, after the NHL announced that defenseman Niklas Kronwall would be suspended one game for a hit he delivered in Game 6.

The Tampa Bay Lightning needed a win Monday night, April 27th, to force a Game 7 against the Detroit Red Wings and they did just that, winning 5-2 in Detroit.

After playing without him for the first two games of their playoff series with the Tampa Bay Lightning, the Detroit Red Wings will welcome back forward Justin Abdelkader just in time for Game 3 Tuesday, April 21st, in Detroit.
