Shinedown has announced 14 dates for a 2015 U.S. summer tour and confirmed a new album will be released this year.

The band kicks off the tour in July and plays through mid-August, with stops in Detroit and Jackson, Mich.

In a press release, Shinedown frontman Brent Smith talks about the band's upcoming tour and album.

“We have a lot in store for 2015 and beyond," says Smith. "We have been working on our fifth album for the better part of two years, and it is almost complete. That being said, we felt it was time to return to the road to let everyone know that we are 100% back and ready to entertain!"

The new album will be the band's 5th and the follow up to 2012's, Amaryllis. Shinedown tweeted in February they're eyeing a late July/ early August release.

Nothing More will be joining Shinedown for many dates on the summer tour.

Shinedown has said more tour dates will be added later.

Members of the Shinedown Nation can order tickets today (April 14).

The general ticket sale is this Friday, April 17. Find out more here.
