Nothing More has just unleashed its self-titled debut album while riding high with the single "This Is the Time (Ballast)."

Now, the band has announced a tour with Sleepwave that kicks off Aug. 5 in Kansas City, Mo., with a performance two days later on Aug. 7 in Grand Rapids at The Stache at The Intersection. There is also a show Aug. 9 at Dirt Fest in Birch Run.

Nothing More frontman Jonny Hawkins recently spoke with 'Loudwire Nights' host Full Metal Jackie. He discussed the band's influences:

"As a band, and as brothers we’ve pushed each other to reach outside the things that we’ve known growing up. Finding new bands, or listening to different styles of music. All the way to reading new books from authors that have challenging ideas about whatever it may be. I think trying to reach outside music to find inspiration has led us to some interesting places. The lead singer of a band called Thrice was a huge influence on us. His name is Dustin Kensrue."

Sleepwave were formed last year by former Underoath vocalist Spencer Chamberlain and guitarist Stephen Bowman. They have been touring since their formation, and have played festivals such as Rock on the Range. Their debut album is expected sometime soon.

On Sept. 13, the day after their tour wraps up, Nothing More and Sleepwave will be playing the Aftershock Festival in Sacramento, Calif.
