If you've ever wondered about the history of Grand Rapids, a new audio tour app can help you learn more about our city.

GR Walks first launched in 2013 with audio tours of Heritage Hill, Eastown, and East Hills and now the tour of Grand Rapids' historical riverwalk is available for download.

The guided walking tour includes 15 stops and lasts about 90 minutes.

App creator Josh Leo told WZZM-13 he was inspired by Rick Steves' audio walking tours while traveling in Europe and wanted to learn more about Grand Rapids when he got back home.

Leo explains he and partners at Calvin College have spent four years researching neighborhoods in Grand Rapids.

Other tours which will be launched this summer include the history of beer in Grand Rapids-- perfect for learning more about Beer City USA!

GR Walks is free and available in the Apple iTunes Store and Android Market.
