Lately I have been playing all sorts of new games. Hyrule Warriors, The Evil Within, Grand Theft Auto 5, etc. These games are fun, but my favorite game to play online was Gears of War 3. I noticed as I was looking through my recently played games, I haven't played Gears 3 for an entire year! Last night for old times sake, I dropped the disc into the tray and played some Horde Mode.

When I first bought this game, I payed $150 for it. I bought the 'Epic Edition' which came with a small statue and a bunch of useless crap the collects dust now.

Last night though, a friend of mine and I jumped online to play. I remember the servers being jammed with thousands of people playing Horde mode. Take a guess how many people are on the servers these days?

400

400 people in the entire world were playing Gears of War 3! That was it! Goes to show how quickly a game can be 'king of the world,' and then be basically nothing the next year.

Regardless though, the gameplay and everything was still the same. The anticipation wondering who we were going to battle on the  boss wave, seeing how much money you'll make with kills, etc. It's a bummer that people are more about headshots these days, because the gameplay is really solid for this.

Maybe someday I will have a Gears of War 3 party that just rocks face!
