Mayhem Festival Promoter Has Approached Pantera for a Reunion

Here's a bad idea:

The producer behind the Rockstar Energy Mayhem Festival has approached the surviving members of Pantera about reuniting, to 'get them out there'. He thinks it would be totally 'bad ass'...and people would have a chance to see Pantera, and of course he would make a s***-ton of money selling tickets.

I know, a lot of people never got to see Pantera during their heyday, and would really like a chance to see them. I totally get it.

But guess what? It's NEVER GOING TO HAPPEN!

Metalhead Ned Met Someone Pretty Cool Today!

Working at a radio station with a few sister stations in the house, you have a tendency to meet a few cool people that aren't rock artists.

Who do you think I met today?

Apocalyptica Rocked The Intersection on Sunday Night [Pics/Video]

Sunday night, June 7th, Apocalyptica hit The Intersection with Art of Dying for a great show in support of the new Shadowmaker album. If you haven't seen Apocalyptica, they're a great band from Helsinki, Finland. They first made waves in 1996, when they released an album of Metallica covers performed entirely with four cellos.

Five Life-Changing Rock Albums You Should Own

I can chart a sort of path through my life with music. I can remember (sort of) how things led me to other things, songs led me to albums, albums led me to bands, bands led me to other bands...you get the idea.

I listen to a lot of different things, but rock and metal definitely top the list of things I listen to. Receiving a cool gift in the mail today got my mind thinking about the music that led me around from kidhood to adulthood. Well, as adult as I get.

The Verve Pipe Brings the Show to Cooperville High School Tomorrow Night!

"I was young and knew everything..."

Yea we all know the lyrics to the song 'The Freshman.' Well, maybe we do, I do at least! When that song came out, everyone was singing it, and most likely still are!

Speaking of that song, you could check it out live this weekend with The Verve Pipe as they bring their show to Coopersville High School Saturday night!

Gathering of the Juggalos 2015 Books In This Moment, Mushroomhead, Puddle of Mudd, and More! [Video]

I have never been to the Gathering of the Juggalos, and frankly I don't plan on going anytime soon. I have been to a couple of like festivals, and unless I have a camper with some sort of shower, I'm good!

The Gathering is a huge music festival that goes on for 3 days and it ran by one of the most hated groups ever, Insane Clown Posse.

Besides all the rap and horror-core groups, a few different rock and metal acts will be on the bill too!

Geek Out With Wayland Gear – Phil Vilenski’s Guitar Gear [Video]

Wayland's show with Royal Bliss on Saturday night was fantastic! Hopefully you were one of the people at the show, rocking hard with us!

Before the show, I met up with the guys to film some cool bits with the band of their gear. I've always loved the rig rundowns and gear tours, and wanted to do them with the guys. Little did I know, they've always loved them, too, and wanted to do them!

Metalhead Ned’s Throwback Thursday: End of an Era

When I was younger, like around 2006, I was in a band called Groundswitch.

At the time, Pop Punk was pretty popular, easy to play, and was easy to write for. So why not create a Pop Punk band right? Chicks seemed to dig it! Plus I was balls deep into Green Day's 'American Idiot' so I was heavily inspired by that.

Today, 9 years ago, was the final day of my first ever band.
