This week is the celebration of the Jewish New Year, or Rosh Hashanah, ending tomorrow. And if you've never had traditional Jewish food, it can be a different kind of experience.
I was exposed to it by some friends who are Jewish, and love the food. Some of it I liked, some of it tasted like all the flavor had been drained out of it, along with all the color.
I always wondered if there was a big bowl of flavor in the kitchen, where they stored all the flavor that had been in the food before it was served.
