Laughfest 2015 to Feature George Lopez, Wanda Sykes, Patton Oswalt – Will Celebrate #FiveYearsOfSmiles

Today, the nation’s first-ever community-wide festival of laughter, Gilda’s LaughFest, announced the first round of talent and shows for the festival’s fifth year which will be held March 5 to 15, 2015. The announcement included performers that are new to the festival, as well as some past favorites returning to take part in the festival’s fifth year.

The headliners announced Tuesday include: George Lopez, Patton Oswalt, Wanda Sykes and LaughFest veterans Bo Burnham, YouTube star and singer/songwriter comedian; Pete Holmes, who will be perform two shows and record a live podcast; and Colin Mochrie and Brad Sherwood of "Whose Line Is It Anyway?" Ticket packages for the festival will go on sale Friday, November 14.

Nickelback, The Pretty Reckless Book February 24 Date at Van Andel Arena [Video]

Multi-platinum selling rock band Nickelback are set to embark on a massive headlining tour in 2015 in support of their eighth full-length studio album, No Fixed Address, which comes out Nov. 17 and can be pre-ordered HERE.

All campuses in the Rockford Public School District were placed on lockdown Friday morning after a bomb threat.

The lockdown started around 10:30 a.m. after the superintendent’s office received a bomb threat against the district in general.

UPDATE: Shots Fired At Canadian Parliament; One Soldier Dead; One Gunman Dead

UPDATE 1 p.m. EST: The Canadian soldier who was shot outside the National War Memorial has died according to the Daily Globe and Mail. Ottawa police confirm that one of the gunmen was shot and killed, while another is still believed to be on the loose.

A gunman shot a soldier and then ran toward Canada's Parliament building, Wednesday according to Ottawa police.

Police have confirmed that a man opened fire at the National War Memorial outside of the government complex shortly before 10 a.m. Shots hit a soldier who was standing guard. Witnesses say that they then heard shots when the man entered the Parliament building, where members were holding meetings.

Bank Robbed In Southern Kent County; Suspect At Large

UPDATE: The suspect in a Tuesday morning bank robbery has been aprehended.

Kent County detectives in an unmarked vehicle spotted the suspect and called GRPD, asking for Grand Rapids units to conduct a traffic stop. Police arrested the suspect and one of the three other people who were in his car. That second person's connection to the case wasn't immediately specified.

Investigators say the suspect was taken to a hospital, because of something he ingested.

Authorities, including federal law enforcement, continue investigating.

Police have responded to a bank robbery in southern Kent County, WZZM-13 reports.

The Bank of America branch at 6737 S. Division Avenue in Cutlerville near the intersection of 68th Street and Division was robbed at around 11 a.m. Tuesday.
