
LGBTQ+ Nightclub Rumors to Temporarily Close Downtown Grand Rapids
LGBTQ+ nightclub Rumors is set to temporarily shut down while the building undergoes renovations.
Last year we told you the building at 67 Division Ave. S had been listed for sale following the death of longtime owner, Allen Bath.

Crain's Grand Rapids reported that Bath's relatives took ownership of Rumors, running the club from out of state.

Real estate broker Drew Born tells Wood TV 8 the family is still looking for a buyer who will continue operating the night club. While there has been some interest, no deal has been finalized.
Originally Rumors was listed at $3.6 million. The price has since dropped to $2.4million, according to Wood TV 8.

The three story, 9,905 square foot building includes a dance floor, seating areas, and bar. The adjacent parking lot with nearly 40 spaces is also included in the sale.
Earlier this week, it was shared to Facebook that Rumors will be closed Nov. 3 to late December for repairs and improvements. The goal is to be open for some holiday festivities.
