The eatery, located on US Highway 23 South, has been listed for sale.

It's going for $149,900.

While it hasn't been open for a while due to "personal circumstances", according to the listing, "the diner boasts a solid reputation and significant exposure to heavy traffic on a major thoroughfare."

Built in 1950, Nick's Southside diner is 1,200 square feet. While not explicitly mentioned in the listing, in the real estate photos is appears that much of the kitchen equipment would be included in the sale.

Sounds like locals would love for it to return! The diner was featured by Zillow Gone Wild on social media.

This cool looking diner is on the right as you come into Alpena, not far from where I live. It's really cool looking! I hope someone buys it and makes it a restaurant again.

 

Nick the owner(r.i.p) was one of a kind.. we ate there often.. great food and a cool place.. it does need alot of work but the price is right.
