Grand Rapids Facing Highest Temperatures in 120 Years
Michigan has a reputation for its weather not making any sense. I'm sure you've experienced a day where the news said it would be a beautiful day only for it to be hailing out of nowhere. Or, like this tweet below, Michigan somehow experiences every season in a week.
👇BEST WAYS TO EXPERIENCE FALL IN WEST MICHIGAN👇

In classic Michigan Weather™ fashion, in a few days, we are predicted to go from a frost-filled Sunday morning to potentially the warmest fall day since Teddy Roosevelt was still President of the United States.
This Week's Weather
Sunday morning I got up around 8 am to run some early errands and had only grabbed a hoodie before leaving the house. However, one step outside was enough for me to turn around and grab a jacket since it was 32 degrees and my car was covered in frost.
That is typical weather for this time of year as things get colder. What isn't typical, however, is having near-summer temps at the end of October. Tuesday (29th) could be 76 degrees and Wednesday (30th) could be 77 degrees. These predictions are so warm, they could break a record set back in 1901.
1901's Hot Fall
Back in 1901, Grand Rapids was having an overall pretty warm October. On October 29th, 1901, Michiganders were subject to a toasty 77-degree day. On October 1st, they had an 83-degree day, which is fitting since it was the start of the month. But to have this high of a temperature that late in the month is unusual.
However, the unusual seems to be the usual these days. Tomorrow, Grand Rapids is predicted for a 76-degree, one off of tying the record-setting day 123 years prior. Wednesday, too, could see its highest October 30th since 1950. Days like these are getting more common as global warming has given Michigan warmer seasons in the last few years.
