UPDATE: From a comment on Kent County Animal Shelter's Facebook post, it appears the goat's owners owners have been found! The shelter does have a chicken they are also looking to get home. Check out photos below!

I'm sure Grand Rapids Police come across interesting things in Grand Rapids parks. People can lose all sorts of things like cell phones, keys, or other personal items — but a goat?

Yes, a wayward goat was found wandering in a Grand Rapids park by GRPD.

Kent County Animal Shelter shared the news on social media asking for helping finding the animals home. They didn't say which park the goat was found, but I have to imagine it was quite a shock for those who spotted him, especially if it was close to downtown. You just don't expect to see a goat hanging out in a metro area!

While the goat is being cared for at the shelter, it sounds like he very much would like to go home. KCAS says,

He's mentioned a few times that he's NOT living his best life here.

Sounds like the goat is pretty chatty!

The shelter describes him as a male that is brown, black, and white, and "has quite the personality.

Lose a Chicken? There's One at Kent County Animal Shelter

While the lost goat does seem to enjoy pets, he's merely "tolerating" the chicken he's sharing a space with.
