
First Chick-Fil-A in Southwestern Michigan Announces Grand Opening
Since the first Chick-fil-A opened in the Grand Rapids area in 2016, it seems new ones are popping up all the time.
By now, I figured the fast food chicken chain had spread all across the entire state... turns out I was wrong.

There are spots in Michigan that are Chick-fil-A deserts: The Upper Peninsula, the thumb, southwestern Michigan.
Some consider Kalamazoo and Calhoun counties southwest Michigan; which yes, there are Chick-fil-a locations in Kzoo, Portage, and Battle Creek, but not south of there until you cross over the Indiana border.

That is about to change. Later this month, a new Chick-fil-A is set to open in Berrien County.
The fast food joint is located at 1917 Pipestone Road in Benton Harbor. It will open at 6:30a.m. on February 27.

Known for its chicken sandwiches, tenders, nuggets, and waffle fries, Chick-fil-A currently has more than 30 locations across Michigan. More are on the way. The chain announced a few months ago it plans to open 25 to 30 new restaurants in Michigan by 2028.

Additional Chick-fil-A locations will open this year in the Flint/Saginaw and Lansing/Jackson areas.
