New Investigation Discovery Show Promises ‘Unfiltered’ Look at Grand Rapids Police Department

A new Investigation Discovery show follows the GRPD, promising "unfiltered footage" and "the most access a documentary film crew has ever had to a police department."

Deputy Chief Michael Maycroft shared a trailer for "All Access PD: Grand Rapids" to Facebook.

The clip opens with Police Chief Eric Winstrom saying.

In his role for three years now, Winstrom began working for the GRPD following the retirement of former Chief Eric Payne.

What can you expect on the new show? Well, the unexpected, according to Winstrom:

"All Access PD" premiers on the Investigation Discovery Network Tuesday, April 8 at 10p.m. ET. You'll be able to stream it starting the next day on Max. Maycroft says there will be eight episodes. The show is not listed yet on Investigation Discovery's website.

As far as when the show was shot, I don't recall seeing any filming crews around town recently, do you? According to an X post ID crews were spotted with GRPD in July 2024.
