The NFL's Pro Bowl is coming up this weekend, and we Lions fans didn't think we'd see a single player from our team. Luckily, today it was announced that we'll see one of our guys on the field.

Is it Matthew Stafford? Nope. It's Lions kicker Matt Prater.

Prater is being brought on board to replace Falcons kicker Matt Bryant, who will not be participating due to his team's NFC Championship win which sends them to the Super Bowl.

Prater is the first Lions kicker to make it onto the Pro Bowl roster since Jason Hanson in 2000.

In 2016, Prater made a career-high 31 field goals. Prater came to the Lions in 2014, after the team dropped Alex Henery after a game in which Henery missed three field goals against the Buffalo Bills.

The Pro Bowl will be played on Sunday, January 29 in Orlando, Fla. at Camping World Stadium. The game will be televised live at 8 p.m. EST on ESPN and ESPN Deportes.
