Former Detroit Lion Calvin "Megatron" Johnson was one of the greatest receivers in Lions history. How would he do in today's NFL?

There are several reasons the former Lions wide receiver, Calvin Johnson, played in 6 Pro Bowls. The fact that he made 731 catches for 11,610 yards in 9 seasons is reason enough.

Calvin Johnson's success was due to a combination of his remarkable size, speed, and exceptional football skills. Johnson's vision and leaping ability matched with his strength made him a tough wide receiver to cover.

It wasn't long ago that Johnson was a Detroit Lion, and I could only imagine how great he would be as a rookie with the current team.

Certainly, I am not suggesting that Calvin Johnson come out of retirement and play in the NFL again. I do believe that his skillset would be as effective today as it was when he played.

That is a fair statement, but I still think Johnson would have higher numbers than suggested because of his talent. Sure, Goff would spread it around, but Johnson would be a sure thing.

Very true. Johnson would thrive in today's NFL because of his skill set.

The consensus on this thread is the same as mine: Johnson didn't play that long ago, so his size, speed, strength, and ability to leap would make him a top receiver in today's NFL.
