Grand Valley Makes Top 100 Best Buy List 24th Time
24 consecutive years in a row Grand Valley State University is named one of America's 100 Best College Buys. It saves you big time to be a Laker and GPA's are higher than nations average.
According to WZZM, the 100 Best College Buys is a list that comes out every year and since its inception back in 1995, GVSU has been on the list.
When a school like GVSU gets on the list, it means that it is providing students with a higher quality education at a much lower cost than other schools across the country.
Here are the requirements for a school to even be considered for the list:
- Be an Accredited, four year institution offering bachelor's degrees
- Offer full residential facilities that include residence halls and dinning
- Have an entering freshman class in fall 2018 with a high school GPA and/or SAT/ACT equal to or above the national average for college freshmen
- Have out of station tuition in 2019-2020 below the national average or not exceeding the nation average cost by more than 10%
Grand Valley has some top notch talent in the freshmen department for fall of 2018 with the average GPA at 3.60 which much higher than the national average of 3.46. Even the average ACT score came in at 24 when the national average is 23. Here is the real clincher, the tuition for out of state students for 2019-2020 is just a hair under $27,000 when the national average is just a hair above $45,000.
