Facebook, Instagram, and Others Dealing with Major Outage

Having problems getting on Facebook today? You are not alone. It looks like Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, Messenger, and Oculus VR are all down at this point.

On Twitter, Facebook communications exec Andy Stone says “We’re aware that some people are having trouble accessing our apps and products. We’re working to get things back to normal as quickly as possible, and we apologize for any inconvenience.”

According to monitoring service DownDetector, users in the United States started reporting problems early on Monday morning. Outages were also reported by users in other countries around the same time.

There is no official word on what is causing the problem, or when service will be restored.
