Many wondered why the trailer for X-Men: First Class didn't air during the Super Bowl.  Perhaps 20th Century Fox was afraid that it would get lost in the shuffle with Thor, Captain America, Transformers: Dark of the Moon, and many of the other films that aired commercials.  Well judging by what the studio released today, they had nothing to worry about.

The official trailer was posted on the movie's Facebook page and fans have mostly responded in a positive manner.  The clip shows most of the major players in the film and Magneto's dark side starting to surface.  X-Men: First Class is the prequel to the original X-Men film trilogy.  It shows how the Xavier Institute came to be and what led Professor X and Magneto from becoming best of friends to bitter enemies.  Check out the trailer below and tell us what you think.

X-Men: First Class hits theaters June 3.
