With all the wintry weather we've seen recently, a local ski hill is finally set to open up.

Recently Cannonsburg ski area in Belmont shared that Kent Power had changed their on-hill light bulbs. They added that with the colder temperatures this week, they'd be running their snow guns non-stop.

Cannonsburg, which offers snow tubing and winter biking in addition to skiing, originally set its opening day for Saturday, January 20th, but also added they could open sooner - which is happening!

Cannonsburg will open Thursday, January 18 4p.m. to 9p.m.

Friday hours are 4p.m. to 9p.m. and Saturday 9a.m. to 9p.m.

Follow Cannonsburg on Facebook for updates!

Cannonsburg's adult race league will be starting again soon too - you can get signed up here.

Other West Michigan ski hills have recently opened as well.

If you're looking for a skiing adventure further north, Mt. Bohemia in Lac LaBelle, Mich. is open as of January 17.

Boyne Mountain in Boyne Falls shared a few days ago they'd recently gotten 18 inches of snow.
