I, unfortunately, started 2024 getting sick and wound up missing a week of work and found myself in front of the TV way more than normal.

I have to admit, the first couple of days of being under the weather the TV was on a low volume and I slept on and off to not have to deal with the worst part of my cold.

I don't have satellite or cable I am old school and just have an antenna and local programming which doesn't give me a lot of options but thanks to all the secondary channels many of the local TV stations offer, there were more choices than when I was home sick from school as a child.

I ended up finding a secondary channel called GET TV and realized Walker Texas Ranger was an easy show to sleep through because each show is essentially the same type of weak story and plotline so it gave me no interest in staying away. I did watch some episodes of the 70s TV show The Rockford Files that I did enjoy but those came on in the evenings. I think what I liked best about the show was all the old cars from the 70s. Every episode had a few driving scenes and I would constantly scan the background for all the old cars and trucks.

Thank goodness there was a ton of football on over the weekend, which I found much more entertaining. I felt like I had wasted a week and wondered what everyone else watched on TV in West Michigan when they were home sick from work.

What West Michigan Watches on TV When Home Sick From Work

I put a post on Facebook asking people what they watched on TV when home sick from work and right out of the gate I realized I didn't watch The Price is Right once while I was sick.  South Park came up on the list when I tend to watch that late at night all the time anyway but still a favorite. I will say I love all the variety of choices people offered on the thread above like TokyoGhoul.

Mike Rios made a post above about a show called Nacho that I have never heard of but liked the name. The one show that did come up multiple times in the thread was The Price is Right. So if there is a number one show for people to watch in West Michigan when they are sick, it looks like The Price is Right is still the king.
