The New Iron Maiden Video is Out and Celebrates Decades of Gaming [Video]

The new Iron Maiden album, 'The Book of Souls' comes out in a few weeks, on September 4th. I'm looking forward to it, it's a double-album clocking in at like 92 minutes of metal!

Today, the band released a music video for the first single, 'Speed of Light'. It takes their mascot Eddie on a tour through a sort of history of fighting games, as he collects hearts to win the game.Ned will love this!

It also takes you on a visual tour through Maiden's albums and artwork. You see a lot of historic artwork from the band, and Eddie even does a fill-on Mortal Kombat fight with the Beast from The Number of the Beast cover! FINISH HIM!

This is a pretty normal song for Maiden to release for the single. Something that sounds like what you'd expect from the band, and short enough to give you a taste of the new album. But I want to hear what's on the rest of the album, as all of that is what will really be super exciting!

If you judge a Maiden album by the singles, you're not doing the album any justice whatsoever, as all the album tracks are more challenging and interesting. I especially want to hear the 18 minute song, 'Empire of the Clouds'. The band's longer songs have gotten more and more awesome with every album.
