Play! A Video Game Symphony… Was it Gamer Approved?

Last night, I went and checked out the Grand Rapids Symphony. Normally, I never really attend the Symphony because classical music doesn't appeal to me to much. Last night however, the DeVos Performance hall was packed with crazed gamers, young and old! Why? The symphony performed some of our favorite video game songs. Was I satisfied with it though?

We don't normally talk highly of Ohio State here at WGRD, but this is too good to pass up. The Ohio State marching band did a tribute to video games during their halftime show this weekend. The band played video game theme songs while marching in formations that depicted the games. Some of the games that the band featured were Zelda, Halo, Pokemon, Tetris, and Super Mario Brothers.

Every time a new Zelda game comes out, it generates a lot of buzz. Why? Well, all of the games are so damn good. Dungeon exploring, action, adventure, storyline, all that good crap. Turns out Nintendo has cranked out another Zelda game. Competing with games like Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, Wii's motion controls, and focus on the Wii Motion Plus, is this really worth shaking your wrist too?
