Police are investigating an on-campus shooting at Davenport University in Caledonia.

WZZM-13 reports that the incident happened around 2:30a.m. Sunday inside one of the school's residence halls.

Police say the shooting followed an argument between two students and four other people. Reports indicated that at least 5 shots were fired. One bullet went through a dorm room wall, injuring the hand of a student in another room.

The suspects fled the scene. Police and campus security are following up on leads.

Students and their emergency contacts were notified of the shooting via text, email, and automated phone calls.
