While we were enjoying ourselves at Shockpocalypse 2012 with Pop Evil at the Orbit Room, Rob Zombie and Marilyn Manson were entertaining fans at the DTE Energy Music Theatre in Clarkston Friday night (October 12). The two metal titans teamed up for the "Twins of Evil" tour, which seems like a natural fit. However, things turned ugly at the DTE show when Manson told the crowd he was going to confront Zombie backstage.

Manson was wrapping up his 80-minute set when he aired his frustrations about Zombie to the audience. "I'm going to kick his ass," MLive reported Manson saying. Apparently Manson blamed Zombie for not being able to play more songs. The former White Zombie singer fired back during his set with plenty of insults towards Manson. During a cover of Alice Cooper's "School's Out," Zombie repeatedly yelled "F--k you, Marilyn Manson!"

Now that both parties have had a day to cool off, Zombie took to his official Facebook page to try and explain what transpired last night.

Unfortunately things turned ugly backstage. Why? I don't know, but for some reason our touring partner decided to end his set by blaming me for something that I had nothing to do with and screaming he was going to 'kick Rob Zombie's ass as soon as he got off stage.'

Zombie continued to write that all matters related to co-headlining tours are divided evenly and said he never had a problem in the past with artists like Pantera, Slayer, Alice Cooper, Korn and more. It's not known yet as of this writing whether Manson has pulled out of the tour. They are scheduled to perform in Bloomington, Ill. at the U.S. Cellular Coliseum tonight (October 13).
