Rumors have been floating around that the Red Hot Chili Peppers would make room for Grand Rapids in their massive U.S. tour. I'm stoked to report that the rumors are true! The Chili Peppers will hit Van Andel Arena in downtown Grand Rapids this May.

The rock veterans are making the rounds across the country in support of their tenth studio album I'm With You, which was released last August. The trek was supposed to launch today (January 20) in Sunrise, FL but is postponed until March 29 in Tampa Bay, FL due to frontman Anthony Kiedis undergoing foot surgery.

Red Hot Chili Peppers will perform at Van Andel Arena on May 26. Tickets go on sale Friday, January 27, at 10am, at the Van Andel Arena box office, all Ticketmaster outlets, LiveNation.com, or charge by phone at 1-800-745-3000. Ticket prices range from $35 to $55, which seems pretty reasonable for a Chili Peppers show.

I'm With You is the first album with new guitarist Josh Klinghoffer, who replaced longtime member John Frusciante in 2009. Watch the video for the band's latest single "Monarchy of Roses" below.
