Pop Evil Playing a Charity Concert for a Radio DJ with Cancer

This time last year, I was working at one of our company's stations in El Paso, TX, KLAQ.  Very similar station to WGRD, and a bunch of great people down there, too!

The afternoon guy on KLAQ is this completely insane maniac named Scott Ronson, who sounds like you're having a conversation with a chainsaw.  That's really his voice.  He's a great guy, and funny as hell.

This summer, he was diagnosed with cancer in several places in his body; lungs, spine, liver...it really sucks.

He's getting treatment right now, and he's missed a lot of work.  Luckily, our company let some of the staff donate their own vacation time to him, so he wouldn't be totally screwed, not making any money.

Well, now, the mighty Pop Evil has heard about Scott's condition, and they have volunteered to play a benefit show in El Paso to benefit Scott and his medical bills!

THANK YOU POP EVIL!  YOU GUYS ARE AWESOME!

Check out this funny video Scott and I made a long time ago, when he found an old French MRE, and he opened and ate it!  It was more than 20 years old, by the way.  He was looking for cigarettes, originally, when I talked him into eating it.

Check that...it was 20 years after the EXPIRATION!
