Grand Rapids Police have identified the man found dead in the Grand River Thursday as Eric Scott Love.

The 43-year-old was found dead near Sixth Street Park on the east side of the river, near downtown Grand Rapids.

According to WZZM-13, Love was reported missing in December. No information on his disappearance or cause of death has been released.

A passerby spotted the body just south of the Sixth Street Bridge and park around 12:30 p.m. and notified police. A dive team was called to the scene.

Love was pulled from the river a couple of hours later.

Recently at least 2 other people have been reported missing in Grand Rapids: Timothy Groenhout, 39, was last seen Wednesday, Jan. 21, in the area of Fulton St. and Prospect Ave. SE.

Kimberly Haymon, 55, was last seen getting off a bus at Fulton Street and Division Avenue. Police later found her purse near the Grand River with footprints leading toward the water.
