Motley Crue is gearing up to finish the band's Final Tour, which started last July in Grand Rapids' Van Andel Arena.

In an interview with Tommy Lee, the drummer reflects on how the Final Tour has been, getting stuck 50 feet in the air on his Cruecifly drum kit, how his past solo projects have been "a waste of f---ing time" and much more.

Motley Crue's Final Tour will wrap up on New Year's Eve 2015 at Los Angeles' Staples Center.

The Crue have plenty of time to plot their final bow, at one point asking tour mate Alice Cooper to borrow his classic guillotine trick.

“We’re going to do something completely f--ked up on the last night of the tour; I guarantee that," Lee toldh Yahoo. "I don’t exactly know what it’s going to be, but I promise it will be amazing!”

The band's tour incorporates Lee's most insane drum kit stunt to date: the 50-foot-high Cruecifly, which sends the drummer high up above the crowd. Of course, Lee has experienced a "Spinal Tap" moment, getting stuck in the rafters during a show in Green Bay, Wis.

“I was up there a long time — a little over a minute — and that’s not cool when you’re playing upside-down and all the blood is rushing to your head,” Lee recalls. “The thing is, nobody knew anything was wrong but I felt like I was going to f---ing pass out and my head was going to explode. I just kept going until somebody fixed it and it came back down again.

"In case the thing gets seriously stuck, we have a plan B escape route. There are a couple guys that can get to me and get me out, but thank God we didn’t have to use that.”

During his off time with The Crue, Lee has recorded two solo records and two albums with Methods of Mayhem.

However, upon reflection, Lee thinks the time he put into those projects wasn't worth it.

“Now that I look back, doing solo projects and other albums has been a waste of f---ing time,” Lee admits. “Yeah, they’re kind of fun, you get your ya-yas out, but the second you try to support something like that, the mother ship calls and you gotta go. We’ve put a lot of passion and energy into some of those things and sometimes you go, ‘Hmm, for what?’"

Motley Crue will invade Japan beginning Feb. 11, while the last leg of the band's Final Tour will kick off July 22 in Eugene, Ore.
