Man Calls 911 Because His Girlfriend’s Cat Ate His Bacon [Video]

The following clip is not a Monty Python skit, but it is a real call made to the UK version of 911.

A man is very upset that his girlfriend allowed her pet cat to eat his bacon. He's very angry and demands that the police show up to arrest both the girlfriend and the cat. The extremely (and unnecessarily) polite 999 operator informs him that cats eating bacon is not considered illegal. It's actually impressive how long she stays on the line with him and how many time she apologizes for his stupidity.

Clips like this make you wonder what the ratio of time wasting calls to legitimate 999 calls actually is.
