Another news story today on Segment 16, about the name change for the Lowell Showboat. Which is not actually named that. The boat has a first name...and a last name. And that name isn't very popular anymore.

The boat is named the Robert E. Lee, and the town is going to rename the boat to something a little more acceptable to everyone. This is the fifth incarnation of the boat, anyway, so it shouldn't be that big a deal, right?

Wrong. Some people are unhappy. As usual.

We figure it should either go back to the original name, George Washington, or just call it the Lowell Showboat. But there will be "studies" and "focus groups" to figure it out, and 16 years from now, it'll still have no name, and still be called the Lowell Showboat.
