The Lansing Fire Department has released a video of a home exploding after being hit by  a car last week.

In the video, caught by a police dashboard camera, you see a car on the front lawn of home. Suddenly a fireball rips through, blasting apart the house.

According to the Lansing State Journal, on August 2, the red car in the video struck the home's gas meter, causing a natural gas leak which resulted in the blast. It had been rear-ended by a gold SUV.

The SUV fled the scene and police are still looking for the driver.

Lansing police Public Information Officer Robert Merritt said the driver is expected to face charges of hit and run causing damage and damage to a structure.

The couple living in the house and their 3-month-old daughter were uninjured.

Fox 17 reports that the family made it out of the house less than a minute before it exploded.

They lost everything in the explosion. To help the family, visit their GoFundMe page here.
