The Ottawa County Sheriff's Department says a suspect approached a driver at a Speedway gas station in Holland Township Sunday, then demanded money while holding a knife. Fortunately, the driver was able to get away without suffering any injuries.

WZZM-13 reports that a second incident was reported in the same area when a man was walking on a sidewalk, was approached from behind by a suspect who demanded money. When the the man said he didn't have any money, the suspect stabbed the man with a knife. Luckily, the victim only suffered minor injuries and has since been released from the hospital.

After both victims gave descriptions of the suspect, authorities believe both incidents are related.

The description provided so far is pretty vague - a young black man in a dark hoodie.
