I love Grand Rapids and all it has to offer with local music, so I decided why not feature local bands here on wgrd.com! Today's featured Fine Fine Titans, they answered a few questions for me below! Check them out, and if you're in a local band who wants to be featured fill out this form. I don’t just feature anyone, so don’t suck and you’ll get the Jackie stamp of approval ;) Find me on facebook too, to follow all your favorite local bands, and GRD news by clicking HERE

Band Name
Fine Fine Titans

Who are all the members of your band, and what do they play?

Jennifer Bartlett: Vocals
Evan Bartlett: Bass Guitar
Dustin Posthuma: Guitar
Luke Pietscher: Drums
When did the band get together, and how?
After years of playing music that didn't quite fulfill us, Evan and I (Jenn) came together and decided to start a new project, not quite knowing exactly which direction we would go. We set out on search for a guitar player who was willing to try something new, and we came upon a distraught Craigslist post from a guitar player who was tired of not finding musicians to play with who were either reliable or had the same vision as him. We thought he would be perfect. So once Dustin joined us, we sought out a drummer. We welcomed Jason Campbell into the group quickly, and after a great year and a half of writing and playing shows together, Jason had to sadly leave. But then we found Luke, who had formerly played with Grand Rapid's own Stockton, and we're getting along just fine!
How would you describe your music to someone?
If hardcore, metal and southern rock had a lovechild, that would probably be us.

As a reviewer in Kalamazoo DIT put it:

"With the roar of demonic guitars and bombastic drums in the background, Fine Fine Titans is rather intense...All their songs are bursts of energy, be they comprised of screams or brazen ballads, so be ready to get rocked." ...what he said.
Who are some of the bands that influence your music?
Everytime I Die, The Chariot, Letlive., Glassjaw.
What other bands have your members been/are in?
Luke - Stockton
Dustin - Frame By Frame, Forever December
Evan - Enso, The Skies Revolt, The Tide
Jenn - Their Teeth Will Be Of Lions
What other local bands would you recommend people check out?
Aside The Ashes, The Skies Revolt, Brass Bows (Kalamazoo), Adversary (Holland), Wilson (Metro Detroit), This new band called AC/DC.

Take Hold Church! It's a great all-age venue that is always packed with great people. Take Hold Fest is a great place to see newer bands, in and out of town. It's free!
Where can we catch you performing next?
