Why You Shouldn’t Leave Your Headphones On Your Microphone

OUCH! Alright I just did something embarrassingly stupid, luckily I was all alone. That won't stop me from sharing it with all of you though.

Whenever I am not on air I leave my headphones hanging around the microphone in the studio. Well I glanced up and realized, "AHHH SH*T I NEED TO GO ON!" And scrambled for my headphones, well they snapped out of my hand and smacked me in the face! Right in the face. It hurt, not just a little but a lot! It's hard to tell in my photo but I have a bump under my eye now.

Moral of the story is do not balance your headphones on your microphone, and don't play around on facebook when you are supposed to be on the radio. You will get distracted, you will grab at your headphones and you will smack yourself in the face.
