The Bamboozle Festival is ready to go back to its roots for 2012, returning to the boardwalk in Asbury Park, NJ next May. Rock heavyweights Foo Fighters, Bon Jovi and Blink-182 will help celebrate the 10th installment of the music festival.

The 2012 Bamboozle Festival will bring back the skate and surf competition at the Convention Hall Complex, as well as a battle of the bands contest of unsigned acts for a chance to play at the event.

The festival moved to the Meadowlands Sports Complex in East Rutherford, NJ in 2006 after outgrowing Asbury Park. According to the New York Times, John D’Esposito, a Live Nation talent buyer who created the festival, reached an agreement with the city to bring the festival back to Asbury Park, setting up stages in Bradley Park, in the Convention Hall Complex, along parts of Ocean Avenue, on the boardwalk and on oceanfront land.

Three-day wristbands for May 18-20 will start at $190 and go on sale December 17 at 10am. More acts will be announced after the New Year.
