Elk Brewing Expanding to Second Location

Elk Brewing opened on Wealthy Street in Grand Rapids in the summer of 2014.

The brewery is now expanding to a second location in Plainfield Township, near Fifth Third Ballpark Wood TV 8 reports. 

Elk Brewing's owners revealed the expansion plans Tuesday, the same day another GR brewery, Founders, announced plans to expand.

The brewery's second brewpub and restaurant at 400 Dodge Street NE will be much larger than its current location, with five times the brewing capacity and three times the space.

The new location will have up to 25 taps, a small store, and indoor and outdoor seating. It is set to open in summer 2016.
