Grand Rapids Police are investing a shooting that took place around 3p.m. Tuesday in Heritage Hill.

WZZM 13 reports that a man in his 20s was shot in the face through the windshield while driving near the intersection of College Avenue and Cherry Street SE.

Police are currently looking for one or two suspects who fled the scene. According to police, one is described as a black man between 20-24 years old, 5'9''-5'10'' tall with a skinny build.

The victim was taken to a hospital with non life threatening injuries.

A portion of College Avenue is closed near Fulton Street. Police are asking drivers to avoid the area.
