97.9 GRD is proud to present the first annual Halloween Hellraiser, featuring one of 2012's biggest buzz bands Dead Sara, Saturday, October 27, at Ah-Nab-Awen Park in downtown Grand Rapids! The show is absolutely FREE but make sure to get there early.

Dead Sara have been turning heads ever since they released their first single, "Weatherman," from their self-titled debut album earlier this year. The Los Angeles, Calif. natives have been praised by fans and critics alike, including artists like Courtney Love. The raw energy Dead Sara bring is evident in their acoustic performance at the GRD studio back in May, which you can watch here.

"I get new music sent to me on a daily basis, so it's hard for a song to catch my ear," says WGRD Program Director Jerry "JT" Tarrants. "As soon as I played Dead Sara's 'Weatherman,' I was hooked. They have this energy about them that you rarely find in such a young band. I'm excited to bring them back to Grand Rapids for GRD's Halloween Hellraiser, especially since it's free to our listeners!"

Information on V.I.P. tickets will be available soon. Get into the Halloween spirit even more by signing up for our Zombie Dash at Ah-Nab-Awen Park before the show. The festivities start around dusk. Click here for details.
