Grand Rapids Reddit poster "tech-tac'2" has cleared things up by saying, "So there's this crane at the old General Motors abandoned property of 36th repeatedly lifting a several ton boulder at least 30 feet in the air and letting it slam into the ground all day long. It's shaking all the buildings nearby and setting off car alarms. What in the actual hell are they doing?"
Poster "mrpotaytahead" says, "I believe they are starting construction for a new Corewell service center going in there." They also provided a link that solved the mystery of the mini-quakes.
