What Did Hurricane Ian Wash Up On The Shores of Detroit Michigan?
Even though Michigan doesn't get hurricanes like Florida, Hurricane Ian did manage to wash up something on the shores of Detroit.

Hurricanes in Michigan?
Hurricanes in the Great Lakes? No actual hurricane has ever been seen in Michigan under the true definition of a hurricane. Michigan can feel the after-effects of hurricanes with rain, thunderstorms, and even tornadoes but the state does not fall in the severe tropical storm category. So how could Hurricane Ian wash up anything on Michigan shores?
What Did Hurricane Ian Bring To Detroit?
When people talk about hurricanes, they usually focus on homes and businesses that get crushed or are highly affected by the storms. Hurricane Ian did not hit the state of Michigan directly but it did do some damage that wound up getting shipped to the Mitten state.
What happens to all those cars that Hurricane Ian destroyed or wind up flooding due to the water surge in Florida? Many of the more expensive vehicles that couldn't be saved wound up getting shipped to Detroit to get salvaged.
Just because the vehicles cannot be driven or repaired, doesn't mean their parts are still not valuable. As we have seen since the pandemic, people are driving their vehicles longer which means the value of parts are in very high demand.
According to FOX 17, nearly 400,000 vehicles were totaled during Hurricane Ian and many have arrived at Pacific Motors in Detroit to be salvaged for parts.
