Video: Kalamazoo Sheriff's Deputy Shoots Dog During Traffic Stop
A Kalamazoo County Sheriff deputy had to defend himself during a traffic stop early this week in the Menards parking lot in Comstock Township. The officer approached the vehicle, and when the driver stepped out, his dog jumped out and attacked the officer.
The sheriff deputy's dashcam footage shows the dog attacking the officer, but also shows the owner did try to stop the dog. The deputy had to defend himself and, unfortunately, had to shoot the dog.
The Kalamazoo County Sheriff's Office made a post on its Facebook page that said:
