In the early '90's, a very strange video game by the name of Toejam & Earl came out for Sega Genesis. You played as either ToeJam or Earl, or played 2 player Co-op and played as ToeJam & Earl. Through it's crazy exterior, it is one of the funnest games of all time!

The first game garnered 2 sequels, and has been missing from the gaming landscape for a long time.

Now, the original creator and his team is looking for your help to create a new game, faithful to the original!

Greg Johnson, one of the two original creators of ToeJam & Earl has started up a Kickstarter online to help fund his project for the next ToeJam & Earl game! I always thought Sega owned the franchise right, but they do not.

One of the best things you can hear when an old franchise gets rebooted, it that they are going to keep it old school. THANK YOU! There are to many old games out there that get a really bad 3D reboot (Sadly, TJ & E fell to this during the Xbox years). From the looks of the pictures (which are all prototype), the game looks really cool and has that comic style animation.

Because there is no publisher behind the project, they are in need of help via Kickstarter! Also join them on Facebook. If you are a ToeJam & Earl fan, they have some amazing pledge prizes for you. By far the best one if the most expensive one of $10,000.

I have many memories of ToeJam & Earl in my childhood. My family and friends would play this game constantly when we rented it from Blockbuster. The 2nd one was our favorite and we would play it for hours! We didn't even know that the first game even existed yet.

When we finally played it, it wasn't as fun and colorful as the 2nd. I didn't really get into it until I got to college. Where my friends and I played this game constantly until we beat it! Those were some of my favorite college memories. Go figure right?
