Today, September 29th, is National Coffee Day and I can proudly say I'm drinking a coffee as I write this. But, then again, technically everyday is National Coffee Day for me.

Coffee is the kickstarter to our day or pick-me-up when you need the energy to push through the rest of the workday. Coffee brings people together, and quite frankly, there's nothing like that first sip, especially in the morning. It warms my heart just thinking about it.

Between it's aroma and flavors, of course coffee should be celebrated, and there are places where you can take advantage of special deals for National Coffee Day:

Starbucks

Of course we have to start with the world's largest coffee chain, who is now celebrating their 50th anniversary! Customers can come in with a reusable cup, up to 20oz, and get a free Pike Place brewed coffee. You can also sign up online to win, while supplies last, a free bag of Pike Place Roasted coffee that you can enjoy at home.

Customers can stop inside the shop and get a free 20oz hot coffee

Dunkin Donuts

Sign up for loyalty program, if not already signed up because DD Perks members get a free hot or iced coffee with any purchase. This does include their new Fall flavors like the pumpkin donut or muffin and apple cider donut.

Krispy Kreme

Not only do you get a free coffee but free doughnut too! Rewards members get free brewed coffee and doughnut of their choice with no purchase necessary. Those without rewards will get just the free coffee. Become a rewards member here.

Side note, anyone who’s vaccinated and shows their COVID vaccination card gets a free glazed doughnut everyday through December 31.

Panera Bread

Panera is honoring parents and caregivers this year with free coffee all day long. A survey they conducted found that 50% of parents need more than one cup of coffee to function.

It'll be the same concept of having a Panera coffee subscription which gives you unlimited coffee whenever you want for $8.99/month. In addition, through 11:59 p.m. ET (tonight) you can sign up to win one of 450 Jump Start Jugs for free.

McDonald's

While McDonald's isn't doing anything special specifically for today, anyone who has the app can order any sized hot or iced coffee for only 99 cents, once per day, through the end of the year.

Locally, Madcap, is giving away a bundle of coffee and some merchandise to one lucky person. This is for International Coffee Day on October 1st and that's when the winner will be chosen. All you have to do is get in on some social media fun by showing how you enjoy your Madcap coffee.
