Friday night, Amon Amarth stormed into Grand Rapids at the Intersection. The crazy, beer drinking Swedes brought the boat, the shields, and all the Viking metal you can handle! Great band!

We love the Intersection! They have a bunch of great shows, they're cool people, and they love to rock! So to hear that they're adding more rooms for shows is freaking awesome to hear. The venue on Grandville is adding two more concert rooms downstairs.

Thank you Grand Rapids, for selling out the Intersection again this year for the Free Beer and Hot Wings Live Show! You guys even stood in line in the rain, cold, and hail this morning super early to get a great seat! Grand Rapids is awesome.

Saturday night, the Devin Townsend Project hit the Intersection with Between the Buried and Me, and Fallujah, for a night of crazy prog metal. Fallujah kicked things off with some interesting, and heavy music.

Dorothy is a great band from LA that has a new album called RockIsDead, and they've been touring the album pretty hard, including tours with Lita Ford and Halestorm this year! They hit the Intersection on Wednesday night for a free show, to introduce themselves to Grand Rapids.

All That Remains, We Came As Romans, Emmure, and Red Sun Rising are scheduled to rock the Intersection this coming October 14! The show is looking to be kick ass! However, one of those bands has had to duck out of the tour.

It's been some time since we have heard from our friends in Wayland! They've been hard at work on their upcoming album, while touring relentlessly throughout the country, so maybe it's time to make it back home for some hometown rock right?
