Finally! One event that might live to see 2020.

Back in May, the Taco & Tequila Festival was supposed to take over Grand Rapids but that got cancelled due to the stay-at-home order. Organizers had rescheduled the event for July but then that date got cancelled too. Now the new date is Saturday, October 10.

In a Facebook post, they state

This will allow event-goers and vendors more time to accommodate new safety measures along with providing more time to ensure a safe environment for all.

They also say they don't intend on any other postponements, but, I say it wouldn't hurt to cross your fingers just in case.

The Taco & Tequila Festival will still take place at Fifth Third Ballpark and if you previously purchased tickets, they will be honored for the new date. If you cannot attend the new date, you have until July 3 to submit a request for a refund here.

Just as the name states, this is a celebration of two of the greatest things in life and will feature samples from different West Michigan restaurants and samples of various tequilas from the around the world. As of right now, there are 22 restaurants that will be offering the best of the best of their tacos so make sure you save room in your belly.

This festival is new to Grand Rapids this year but has been held in Kalamazoo in previous years. According to the event's website, the festival is currently sold out but you can stay up-to-date on their Facebook page.
